Mission Statement
The mission of the OCSO PAL is to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and youth, through community based athletic, recreational, and educational programs, which encourage responsible and productive life choices. The Orange County Police Athletic League was established in 1991 and is a juvenile crime prevention program that provides athletic, recreational and educational activities to at-risk children.
It is an important and integral part of our community support of our youth. Children and teenagers who are involved in constructive, supervised activities are more likely to have stronger self-images and higher success rates than children who are left alone without positive role models.
PAL uses law enforcement officers as coaches, mentors, instructors and role models to encourage our youth to avoid crime, drugs, gangs and violence and to influence them to become healthy, productive and responsible adults.
PAL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization. All funding for PAL comes from grants, donations and fundraising. PAL is managed by a staff of full-time Orange County Deputy Sheriffs and is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of civilian business leaders from within our community. Organizations such as Orange County Public Schools and Orange County Parks and Recreation support PAL by providing facilities for its programs. Local businesses and individuals donate time, money and resources to help make PAL successful.
PAL programs are important and exist with the support of people like you. Our children need your time and resources. The costs of today cannot be measured against the benefits of shaping our youth for the future.

Mission Statement
The Orange County Police Athletic League (PAL) is a registered 501c3 organization that provides athletic, recreational, and educational programs for kids by using dedicated Orange County Sheriff’s deputies as coaches and mentors.
Our goal is to influence children to avoid crime, drugs, gangs, violence, and truancy through positive interactions with law enforcement officers that run the sports camps and other programs throughout the year. Partnering with Orange County Public Schools, our PAL staff of deputy sheriffs organizes and coordinates these programs.
The sports camps and programs include football, soccer & basketball camps and are made available to communities identified with high crime concerns to teach kids teamwork, leadership skills, and sportsmanship. Together we can make a difference in these kids lives on the court, on the field and in the community.

Donations
Through grants, donations and fund raising, PAL offers quality programs at little or no cost to families who can not otherwise afford them.
Mentorship
PAL offers a dynamic mentorship program that stands as a beacon of community support and youth development. Through this program, dedicated law enforcement officers and PAL volunteers commit their time and expertise to guide and inspire young individuals. PAL's mentorship initiative not only fosters positive relationships between youth and law enforcement but also provides valuable life skills, character development, and a safe space for personal growth. By engaging in various activities, from sports to educational workshops, the PAL mentorship program empowers young people to build resilience, self-confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility, ultimately helping them become productive and responsible citizens within their communities.
