POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE DIRECTOR
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic leadership and direction for the Orange County Police Athletic League (PAL). Oversees daily operations to include administrative tasks, supervisory duties, facility maintenance, as well as fundraising activities and community outreach efforts. Develops and implements fundraising strategies and associated marketing plans; meets and actively seeks funding donations from businesses, community organizations, and private community donators. Prepares grant proposals; seeks potential sponsors for PAL related programs Ensures program and Board of Directors operate in accordance with mission, values, bylaws, policies, and procedures of PAL. Responsibilities include developing individual, business, and community partnerships for PAL and managing the PAL budgets efficiently. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Sociology, Social or Behavioral Sciences, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field; and two (2) years related experience in social services program administration, counseling, or education; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in applying basic accounting/budgetary principles, fundraising, and grant writing required.
